Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Amar Prem Haveli
Arrive at your base camp, the Amar Prem Haveli in Chaila, and settle in. The afternoon is for acclimatization and preparation. Conduct a thorough check of your motorcycle, make any necessary adjustments, and attend a detailed briefing on the challenging routes and conditions that lie ahead on your Himalayan quest.
Day 2: Amar Prem Haveli to Giri Ganga/Kuppar and Larot Campsite
Kick-start your engines for the first leg of the adventure. The ride takes you towards Khada Pathar, where the tarmac can be rough and patchy, giving you the first taste of the mountains. You have the option to take a detour and ride your bike up the rugged 6-km forest track to Giri Ganga. From there, a short but steep trek leads to the stunning Kuppar Bugyal meadows. Afterwards, get back on the saddle and ride through Rohru before tackling the thrilling, steep ascent to the remote village of Larot, where you will set up camp for the night.
Day 3: Conquering Chanshal Pass and Exploring Dodra Kwar
This is the day you conquer the crown jewel of the trip. The ride from Larot to the Chanshal Pass is a pure off-roading challenge—a steep, unpaved 15-20 km track with countless hairpin bends that demands skill and concentration. Reaching the summit at 3,750 meters rewards you with awe-inspiring 360-degree views of the Himalayas. From the top, you'll descend into the legendary Dodra Kwar valley, a region culturally isolated for centuries. Explore the ancient village of Dodra before starting your return journey, ensuring you cross the pass with ample daylight to get back to your Larot campsite.
Day 4: Larot Campsite to Amar Prem Haveli via Hatkoti Temple
After breakfast, you begin your ride back towards civilization. The route follows the Pabbar River down to the main highway. Along the way, you will stop at the sacred Hatkoti Mata Temple complex, a site of immense historical and spiritual importance with architecture dating back to the Gupta period. After this divine interlude, it's a smooth final ride back to the familiar comfort and warm hospitality of Amar Prem Haveli.
Day 5: Departure from Amar Prem Haveli
Enjoy a final, leisurely breakfast at the Haveli, sharing stories of the road with fellow riders. After checking out, you will start your motorcycle for the journey back home, carrying with you the unforgettable memories of conquering one of Himachal's last great frontiers.
